Food Services


Dining facilities are available on the main campus at 68th Street, the Brookdale Campus and the School of Social Work. The Food Services Web link is hunter.avifoodweb.com/.

Main Campus, 68th Street & Lexington Avenue There are several food outlets on the main campus:

  1. The cafeteria on the 3rd floor of Hunter West is open to all Hunter students, faculty, staff and visitors. There are two eating areas adjacent to the food service area. The south side seats around 200 people. The north side seats about 75 and also has several computer terminals for checking of e-mail and Internet reference. A full menu of hot and cold foods and beverages is offered.
    South area hours: Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm; Friday, 7:00 am to 2:00 pm
    North area hours: Monday through Thursday, 11:00 am to 4:00 pm; Friday closed
     
  2. A Starbucks coffee kiosk is located in the lobby of Hunter West, serving beverages and light snacks. Hours: Monday through Thursday, 7:30 am to 7:30 pm; Friday, 7:30 am to 2:30 pm; Saturday 7:30 am to 2:30 pm.
     
  3. The Faculty Dining Room on the 8th floor of Hunter West is open to all Hunter faculty and staff. The facility is open during the fall and spring semesters Monday through Friday, from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm. A new faculty dining program with completely new menu, pricing and tables with linens and service was piloted during the spring and will return for the fall semester.

Note: for the aforementioned facilities, shorter hours are in effect during semester breaks, summer session and the day before major holidays.

Brookdale, 425 East 25th Street A kiosk with grab and go foods, available during daytime hours.

School of Social Work, 119th Street & 3rd Avenue Food service options are available at the first floor café, and are currently provided through a local vendor, in keeping with Hunter’s commitment to support the East Harlem community.

Vending There are vending machines throughout all of Hunter College’s campus locations.
