Regulation of gene expression, DNA replication and chromosome transmission. Genetic analysis of model genetic organisms. Classic and modern examples of genetic screens in eukaryotic model organisms. Human genetics, and human genetic diseases. Concepts in molecular evolution. Most topics will be illustrated by articles selected from the recent primary scientific literature.
